A 49-year-old man was killed while working Thursday morning in a grain bin in southern Minnesota, authorities said.
James Eaton died after getting trapped at a farm on 320th Avenue, about 5 miles south of Waseca, according to the Waseca County Sheriff's Office.
Neighbors joined rescue efforts by members of the Waseca and New Richland Fire Departments, North Ambulance and city of Waseca Utilities.
"Efforts were fruitless and James Eaton was pronounced dead at the scene," the Sheriff's Office said in a written statement.
